As a director of a Fortune 500 company, Eric became involved with the development and distribution of projects at the international level, heading an international recruiting department within the firm. Eric was then recruited into a national firm that focused on government contracting to build new recruiting departments that support multi-million dollar government manufacturing contracts.
Upon leaving the government contracting position, Eric embraced the need for a firm that could develop Life Science and Medical Device manufacturing companies and the possibility of understanding government contracting, clinical studies, and FDA approval. Shamona P Nichols has been Vice President of Human Resources Consulting for Charsky Group LLC since date September 2019. She is entrusted with partnering with clients while cultivating and preserving Charsky Group’s commitment to deliver employment needs while companies continue to focus on growth. Ms. Nichols’ responsibilities encompass human resource strategies and execution of programs that support the overall management of the business, specifically in the areas of program design, benefits, leave administration, HR compliance, compensation, project management, human resource information systems, change management, payroll, policy development, training, performance management, and employee/labor relations.
With over 20 years of human resource experience, Ms. Nichols is instrumental in serving as a partner with leaders to support the execution of human capital strategies that deliver on established and future business priorities. Ms. Nichols serves as a consultant and expert within HR and the business, proactively anticipating and analyzing trends to develop and implement solutions that drive people, processes and return on investment. Ms, Nichols delivers impactful business performance and program management by providing strategic, creative, and collaborative leadership. Further, Ms. Nichols is known for proactively diagnosing issues, opportunities and taking necessary action to bring timely resolution, ensuring that Charsky Group continues to be a trusted partner and consulting guru for your business.
Prior to 2019, Ms. Nichols managed total rewards (benefits, compensation, human resource information systems and payroll) for Samsung and she served as chair for their total rewards committee for North America. Prior to Samsung, Ms. Nichols served as head of human resources for GK Enterprises (doing business in North America as Whiting Corporation and Swenson Technology).
Previously, Ms. Nichols has served in roles of increasing responsibility in Human Resources and Finance, primarily to increase HR expertise for directors and c-suite. She has experience leading human resource teams supporting the following industries: technology, manufacturing, construction, healthcare, and government contractors.
Ms. Nichols holds three master’s degrees from DeVry University and a bachelor’s degree from Chicago State University. Ms. Nichols has held the certification for Senior Professional in Human Resources from the Human Resource Certification Institute.
